This is a 6" extension that can be used when the waistband on the
SpikeVest
does not reach far enough (dog is very thick). This extension can also be used for the neck strap.
Our lab mix has a chest like a barrel and the original fit was always a struggle, but this 6" extension finally lets me buckle everything comfortably without digging in. Even better, I can swap it to the neck strap for those extra-thick days when his collar area gets tight.
My pit bull is built like a refrigerator, so the 6 inches make just enough difference to get the vest snug without squeezing. The extension clicks in cleanly and I tried it on the neck strap too, works just as well there.
My 80-pound lab has a chest like a barrel, and this 6-inch extension gave us just enough room to finally clip the neck strap comfortably. It clicks in solidly and doesn't shift when he pulls.
